Each of our kids has a story. We think they are amazing and resilient. This young girl had recently had surgery. We found putting a table desk in her room was really helpful when she had to meet with her tutor. It gave her a quiet place to do her homework. A few things she told us she really wanted were shiplap walls and bluebirds because they reminded her of her grandmother. She cried when she saw what we had done. We try to create a space that our kids want to be in. We recycle and upcycle furniture whenever possible.
